Covid-19 Policy

At Haugens the safety of our Customers and Staff is our first priority.

The following are our new policies to keep us all safe;


Guests exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19 or

who have been in close contact with someone who is sick or has confirmed Covid-19 in the last 14 days or…

who have returned from travel outside Canada in the last 14 days…

are not allowed to enter our restaurant. Please go home and Self Isolate and call Telehealth or their health care provider.


  • We will continuously sanitize our entrance, doors, handles, glass and washrooms
  • We will provide A hand sanitizing station at our front entrance
  • We will space guests to provide physical distancing before seating
  • We will install Plexiglas barriers where appropriate
  • We will implement a one-way directional traffic flow for guests entering and exiting the restaurant
  • Guests are permitted to use our emergency exit in our dining room if they prefer


  • We will ensure 2m distance between tables in our dining room
  • Guests will have the option of scanning a QR code with their smartphone to access our menu
  • We will continue to sanitize tables, chairs, benches,menus and condiments prior to each table
  • We will offer packaged condiments to guests who prefer it
  • We will encourage our guests to use tap for contact-less payment


  • All Take out orders will be processed at our curbside window
  • Take out orders can be placed and paid for from our website
  • Take out orders will be picked up at our curbside window while practicing physical distancing


  • Staff will be screened prior to each shift and will not be allowed to work if they are showing symptoms of COVID-19, a Cold or Flu
  • We will disable some of our POS stations to ensure staff do not have to be in close contact
  • Staff will continue to wash their hands often (including upon entering the building and after breaks and whenever touching a surface that could be contaminated


  • Our kitchen operations have been restructured to minimize contact with suppliers and to have our staff work in their own spaces
